ST. CLOUD -- Three people were hurt in a car crash yesterday (Monday) morning.

The accident happened at about 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of 9th Avenue and 13th Street South in St. Cloud.

Police say the driver, 26-year-old Mohammed Murshed, of St. Cloud, had fallen asleep while driving down the 1200 block of 9th Avenue South, causing the vehicle to go off the road and hit a tree.

Two other people were inside the vehicle during the crash.

20-year-old Ali Omar and Murshed were taken to St. Cloud hospital with minor injuries.

The second passenger, 20-year-old Latarynn Streeper was taken to St. Cloud Hospital with substantial but non-life threatening injuries.

Murshed was cited with inattentive driving.
