ST. CLOUD - After eight years in business, a St. Cloud women's boutique store near the Lake George area is closing its doors.

Threads Re-Sale is at the corner of 9th Avenue and 7th Street South. Owner Kim LeBlanc says the shop started eight years ago in the thick of the Great Recession.

"At that time people weren't really buying new clothing so this idea of re-sale came to mind and that's why we decided to do that."

She says Threads will close its doors after Saturday so she can focus her time and resources on her second business in town: Evelie Blu.

"We've really had great success here and it's led us to our new venture which is Evelie Blu Boutique next to Panera Bread and that's all new fashion, home decor and gifts."

LeBlanc says she will miss the location and the numerous St. Cloud State students who shopped at Threads over the years.

"One of the things that I really enjoyed was working with a lot of the students as customers and also employees and just being a part of this quaint community over here."

Threads is having a 70 percent off sale during its last two days in business. For more on Evelie Blu, check out their Facebook Page.
