MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Thousands of runners and spectators will be out this weekend for the 32nd annual Twin Cities Marathon.

More than 28,000 participants will compete in running events Saturday and Sunday. Saturday events at the state Capitol include the TC 10K and the TC 5K Run/Walk.

The 15th annual TC 10 Mile — which starts in downtown Minneapolis and finishes at the state Capitol — kicks off Sunday racing at 7 a.m. Marathon runners will start at 8 a.m. at the Metrodome and head for St. Paul to finish at the Capitol. The wheelchair start is at 7:55 a.m.

Drivers should take alternate routes to avoid closed streets. No traffic will be allowed while runners are on the course.
