Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:30PM Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the Church of St. Paul, St. Cloud for Thomas Figge who died peacefully Thursday at St. Benedict’s Center in St. Cloud after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Rev. Jerry Dalseth will officiate and burial will be in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Visitation will be after 10:30 AM Wednesday morning at the church in St. Cloud. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Tom was born in Minneapolis to Francis & Helen (Ryan) Figge. He grew up in Minneapolis and attended De La Salle High School, the College of St. Thomas and the University of Minnesota. He married Nan Norrbohm on September 19, 1964 in Minneapolis. He moved with his family to St. Cloud in 1969 and worked as a social worker at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud until his retirement. Tom had a great sense of humor and enjoyed time with friends and family. He enjoyed classic cars and convertibles, and especially loved racing with his son Mike at Golden Spike Speedway.

Tom is survived by his son, Steve of Lakeville; brother, Patrick (Joan) Figge of Eagan; Father in law, Ted Baran of Minneapolis and many loving friends and relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Nan on August 28, 2006, and son Michael on August 12, 1991.

Memorials are preferred to the Nan & Mike Figge Memorial Scholarship Fund at Cathedral High School.

Steve would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at St. Benedict’s Center for their loving and ongoing care to Tom.
