Thomas L. Boelz, 82, Clear Lake

Thomas Leonard Boelz, age 82, Clear Lake, MN, died Friday, November 10, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 12:00 Noon at St. Augustine Catholic Church, St. Cloud,MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday. Burial will be in North Star Cemetery, St. Cloud, MN. Funeral arrangements are with Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

Thomas was born September 15, 1935 in St. Cloud, MN to Lawrence J. and Priscilla (Jackson) Boelz. He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1953. Thomas served 8 years in the Minnesota National Guard. He was employed as a cement truck driver and later was self employed in furniture restoration and sales. His passions were genealogy, reading history, draft horses and various fowl. Thomas was a member of various horse clubs and genealogy clubs. He was known for his fantastic memory and witty remarks.

Survivors include his life partner Emilie Trushenski of Clear Lake, MN; brothers, Arthur (MaryJo) Boelz of St. Cloud, MN; and James (Grace) Boelz of Wausau, WI; and sister, Louise “Susie” (John) Lott of Apple Valley, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Melvin Boelz.

Pallbearers will be Jim Boelz, Art Boelz, Robert Boelz, Don Boelz, Michael Victor, and Mel Klein.
