Thomas E. Cobb, 66, Becker

November 7, 1948 - October 21, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church in Becker for Thomas E. Cobb, age 66, who passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at his home. Rev. Eugene Doyle and Rev. Eberhard Schefers will officiate and burial will be at a later date at Forbes Cemetery in Forbes, MN. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church in Becker and one hour prior to the services Saturday also at the church. Parish prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the church.

Thomas Earl Cobb was born Nov. 7, 1948 in Virginia, MN to Earl & Ruth (Nikunen) Cobb. He attended school and graduated from Proctor High School in 1966 and was a graduate of University of Minnesota Duluth. Tom married Mary Jo Singer on Aug. 22, 1987 at Preachers Grove at Itasca State Park. He lived in Detroit Lakes and Duluth before moving to Becker in 1995. Tom worked as a social worker for St. Louis County, Becker County and Wright County. He was a member of Mary of the Visitation Catholic Church, Becker Touchdown Club, and AA for 35 years. Tom enjoyed golfing at Pebble Creek and collecting golf clubs. He had two holes in one. He was a UMD hockey fan and was a photographer at the Becker High School football games from 2004-2015.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo of Becker; sons, Brady of Becker and Evan of Columbia, MO; and his mother, Ruth of Monticello. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Earl.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
