This Is Winter Hazard Awareness Week In Minnesota

UNDATED - Winter awareness week kicks off today (Monday) and Stearns County Emergency Management would like to remind everyone that although winter can be a beautiful season, it can also be dangerous.

With winter starting right around the corner, Stearns County Emergency Management is reminding everyone to be safe and prepared for the upcoming season.

You can take simple precautions to have a warm safe enjoyable winter. Listening to winter weather forecasts, changing the batteries in your carbon monoxide detector, and by staying hydrated while outdoors are a few simple steps that you can take.

Stearns County also reminds you to be a cautious driver by cleaning frost and snow off all windows on your vehicle, and increasing your following distance while driving.
