THIEF RIVER FALLS -- The general manager of Thief River Falls radio station KTRF was in the midst of last night's mass shooting in Las Vegas.

Jake Weber was covering the country music festival and had just went back to his room at the Mandalay Hotel to get more batteries for his equipment when the shots started.

"The minute these shots were fired out again I had no thought in my mind that this was an act of violence. I just thought it was part of the end of a party."

Weber says eventually reality set in and the scene was chaotic.

"This is what we've been seeing in the news but it's happening right now. At the time we didn't know how many people had gotten hit, we didn't know how many people were killed, we didn't know what was going on."

Weber and two members of his crew are safe.
