    Santiago Shakedown Blues Festival

    Santiago, Minnesota

    The 14th Annual Santiago Shakedown Blues Festival comes back for another year this weekend. The Brian Naughton Band highlights one of six bands playing the blues at Bailey Ray's Roadhouse Bandshell Park in Santiago, Minnesota. The fun begins at 3:00 p.m. Saturday with music starting at 3:30 p.m. There will be plenty of beer and great grill food for purchase. The event is a rain or shine and tickets are just $25 at the gate.

    The Minnesota State Fair

    St. Paul

    The Great Minnesota Get-Together is back once again starting today (Thursday). From food, music, rides, or just people watching there is an unless amount of things to do. Some of the performances include Alabama, Nick Jonas, the Dixie Chicks and Weezer. There will be 32 new foods to check out this year including SPAM Sushi, Deep Fried Nachos, and Cracker Jack Caramel Sundaes. General entry tickets are $13 for Adults, $11 for senior citizens and kids 12 and under, and free for kids 5 and under. Gates open at 6:00 a.m. to Midnight until Labor Day.

    Lady Antebellum

    Grand Casino Hinckley

    One of country music's hottest groups Lady Antebellum are playing at Grand Casino Hinckley tomorrow (Friday). The group got it's start in Nashville in 2008 and quickly became one of the top performers in the business. They're known for such songs as "Love Don't Live Here," "I Run to You," and "American Honey." The trio will be performing on the Amphitheater stage starting at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $45-$90.

    Movie in the Park

    Whitney Park

    Grab your lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an outdoor movie at Whitney Memorial Park tonight (Thursday). Hotel Transylvania featuring Adam Sandler and Selena Gomez will be shown on field C-3 starting at dusk. Seating will open at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person or $8 per family. Concessions will also be available for purchase.

    Church of Saint Henry Fun Fest


    The Church of Saint Henry in Monticello is celebrating their annual “Fun Fest” this weekend. The two day event runs Saturday and Sunday and is full of fun for the whole family. Events include three live bands, a bilingual mass, an authentic Mexican dinner, polka mass, and games. The fun begins at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and runs until 5:00 p.m. Sunday. It's free to attend, however there is a charge for meals and certain events.
