ST. CLOUD — You won't find a shortage of fun activities to do this weekend around Central Minnesota. Check out Hockey Day Minnesota out at Lake George, enjoy some dancing at Paramount Theatre, listen to the sounds of a premier men's ensemble performing in downtown St. Cloud, share some love songs with the Fabulous Armadillos, and enjoy some chili in Sauk Rapids.     Hockey Day Minnesota

    St. Cloud

    St. Cloud will be full of hockey fans, breathing in the fun that will be Hockey Day Minnesota starting Friday. The two-day festival has five outdoor games, winter activities and live music all at the shores of Lake George.  Friday's events include the St. Cloud Icebreakers vs the Storm'n Sabres and the SCSU Alumni Game. Saturday's events include St. Cloud vs St. Cloud Cathedral, SCSU Women's team vs Duluth, and Moorhead vs Centennial. A special outdoor concert concludes the hockey games at Lake George. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. Saturday.

    Tickets on Friday are $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6 to 17 and SCSU students, kids 5 and under are free.

    Dream, Dare, Dance

    Paramount Theatre

    Enjoy a classical ballet based off the Disney movie "Inside Out" performed at the Paramount Theatre this weekend. “Dream, Dare, Dance,” is a production that expresses the message of taking a positive approach in life, through the art of dance. This production is put on by the student based dance company, Company North Crest, and features dancers ages 6-15. There will be two opportunities to catch this performance with a show at 2:00 p.m. and another at 7:00 p.m.Tickets are $14 for ages 13 and older, $9 for ages 12-6 and kids 5 and under are free.

    Cantus: Discovery of Site

    Paramount Theatre

    Discovery sight through the help of sound at the Paramount Theatre this weekend. Cantus: Discovery of Sight revels in the mystery, science, and poetry of what is means to truly 'see.' The group engages audiences in a meaningful music experience and ensures the future of ensemble singing by mentoring young singers and educators. They are also known as the premier men's vocal ensemble in the U.S. Tickets for the show are just $20. Performance starts at 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

    Love Songs

    Pioneer Place

    Feel the love this weekend at Pioneer Place. The Fabulous Armadillos will be performing all the different love songs performed by many music genres. This show won't be a sappy, snooze fest, as the Armadillos plan to put their own twist on several of the most popular love songs. Tickets for this show are $37 and can be found online or at the door. Show runs Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m.

    Chili Cook Off

    Sauk Rapids

    Enjoy a fun filled day raising money for a great local cause. Grey Face Rescue & Retirement is hosting a chili cook off this Sunday. You can sample sorts of delicious chili’s made by local restaurants and businesses, as well as some entrepreneurial individual cooks. There is still time to register if you want to get in you must do so by Friday. Chili sampling will start at 1:00 p.m. and go until it's gone. All proceeds will go back to Grey Face Rescue. The event will be held at the Urban Lodge in Sauk Rapids. Bottomless chili samples are going for $10 a person.
