    Fabulous Armadillos

    Paramount Theatre

    One of central Minnesota's favorite musical acts is hitting the Paramount Theatre stage this weekend as the Fabulous Armadillos present "Stadium Rock". Of the group's 39 different show themes, "Stadium Rock" has been one of its most popular -- wowing a crowd of over 17,000 at Summertime by George last year. "Dilloheads" will be rocking out to covers of stadium rock legends like Journey, Aerosmith and Queen. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. both nights and tickets start at $25.

    One of the most popular comedians of the past decade will be visiting Minnesota this weekend as Lewis Black performs at the State Theatre. Black, known best for his appearances on The Daily Show which led to his own show on Comedy Central, is described as a ticked-off optimist who uses sarcasm and hyperbole to deal with the absurdities of life. Black has described his style as "being on the Titanic every day and being the only person who knows what's going to happen." Tickets start for this 8:00 p.m. show at about $50.

    America's Got Talent

    Mystic Lake Casino

    Some of the most popular performers from NBC's hit show, America's Got Talent, will be entertaining guests in the Mystic Lake Casino showroom on Friday night. These performers include singer Emily West, comedian Taylor Williamson, the hand-balancing acrobatics of the KriStef Brothers. and "junk rockers" Recycled Percussion. Guests must be 18 years or older for this 8:00 p.m. show and tickets start at $31.

    One of the great country music icons visits Mystic Lake Casino this weekend. Kenny Rogers, known for hits like "Lucille", "Islands in the Stream" and "The Gambler", will be performing at 8:00 p.m. This may be one of the last chances fans will be able to see the Country Music Hall of Famer, as the 77-year-old recently announced he will be retiring from show business after a final tour. Tickets for this performance start at $44.

    Theatre Under the Stars: The Little Mermaid

    You can bring the whole family to a production of the beloved Disney classic, The Little Mermaid. The story of Ariel and her aquatic friends is almost universally known by kids and parents alike. Parents will be able to get great deals at Mason's restaurant and Rock Bottom Brewery before and after the show. The first of a 14-show series based on the Broadway musical and animated film kicks off Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. with tickets starting at $39.
