The Weekender: Concerts, Plays, and more Halloween Fun
Head to St. Joseph to enjoy of play from the College of St. Ben's and St. John's University Theater, or take a drive to St. Augusta for some more Halloween fun. There's also plenty of other events taking place this weekend.

Sound of Simon: A Tribute to Simon and Garfunkel
Pioneer Place Main Stage - St. CloudEric Roberts and Eric Trelstad bring you the music of Simon and Garfunkel. Some hits to be played include Sound of Silence, Scarborough Fair, Bridge Over Troubled Water, and Cecelia. This is a one night only show that will have you smiling the whole way through. Tickets are $19 in advance, and $22 at the door.

Ubu
Colman Black Box Theater - College of Saint BenedictThe College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University Theater Departments present "Ubu." The preimere is set for today (Thursday) with a total of seven performances. "Ubu" is an interpretation off Alfred Jarry's "Ubu Roi." The play follows Pa Ubu, played by SJU first-year student George Dornbach, and his band of misfits as they attempt to become king. Tickets are $7 for CSB/SJU students, and $10 for everyone else.

The Creole Choir of Cuba
Gorecki Family Theater - College of Saint BenedictThe Creole Choir of Cuba sings & dances to the music & harmonies of the Caribbean. The choir sings in Creole, a fusion of African, French, and other languages, which is Cuba's second language. Members of the choir are descendants of Haitian and Dominican migrants.

Pumpkinfest
Lake George and Eastman Park - St. CloudThe fifth annual Pumpkinfest is set for Friday. There are many events for both children and adults including trick-or-treat stations, arts & crafts, petting zoo, and pumpkin painting. Monsters Inc. will play on an outdoor movie screen for everyone's enjoyment. This is a free family fun event.

Harvest of Horror
St. AugustaHaunted Houses and Hayrides are typical this time of year, and in St. Augusta the screams are heard every weekend. Harvest of Horror is a terrifying hayride through corn fields, and woods. The cost is $10 per person, and if you feel the need to go again, you can ride for $5 with a hand stamp. CLICK HERE for more information, and directions.
