The Most Common Password is STILL “123456”
It's true. Every year the most common password list comes out, and gives all hackers in the world a little clue as to what your password might be. There are all kinds of people in the world that think they are being clever by using the most commonly used passwords.
Unfortunately the website KeeperSecurity.com just figured out the most common passwords of 2016 by studying ten million passwords that were revealed in data leaks and hacks.
The Top Ten passwords NOT TO USE are as follows:
- 123456
- 123456789
- qwerty
- 12345678
- 111111
- 1234567890
- 1234567
- password
- 123123
- 987654321
For the second year in a row, the password 696969 didn't even crack the top 25.
