The Hillbilly Hoedown Happens Tomorrow- Join Us!
The 4th Annual WWBD Memorial Fundraiser this year, is themed “HillyBilly Hoedown!”
The event will take place tomorrow, March 11th from 5 to 9 pm, at The Grand At Mulligans in Sartell. The menu will feature a pulled pork sandwich, kettle chips, coleslaw, baked beans, watermelon, and unlimited pop and coffee. There will also be a silent auction, and Booze and Wine Pull. I will be playing music for your, and you’re welcome to join in the fun and sing along!
THIS YEARS FUNDS WILL BENEFIT BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central MN. WWBD funds will be help in purchasing a security system, telephones for their office and activity bins for the school based matches. If there are extra funds, they will go towards the approximate $20,000 still owed on the Angel Of Hope garden. (See details below).
THE ANGEL OF HOPE STATUE STORY
The original Angel of Hope statue, inspired by the book The Christmas Box, was dedicated in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 6th, 1994. Since the placement of this first statue, it has become known as a place of hope and healing for people who have suffered the loss of a child. Individuals can purchase pavers to be placed around the base of the Angel of Hope in memory of their loved one. People will also be able to purchase trees, benches and swings that can be purchased and placed around the lake and walking paths. These items will all have a plaque that will include who it is in memory of.
