Isn't it funny...Technology...the very reason that many of us can't find the time to get in a good workout because we are sitting on our rear ends in front of computers all day; has developed ways for those who are tech addicted to lose weight. My question is:  Does it take more time to use these apps than it would to just do it the old fashioned way? Perhaps...but apparently, apps make losing weight a lot more fun. I think there should be a Stars Wars Weight Loss App....Maybe we could all have Lightsaber battles til we lose those unwanted pounds. (Another amazing idea).

LOSE IT

The LOSE IT app is made for both Androids and Iphones. It's designed to help you achieve sustainable weightloss. This program contains an App and a website so you can see your information on your computer as well. This App helps you create your own personalized weight loss plan, and tries to keep you on track with health and fitness. The App gives you access to a verified food database that helps you count calories. You can also add custom foods and scan UPC codes. LOSE IT connects to other apps like RunKeeper, and you can keep up with your success with groups of friends, and get support from the community to help you stay on track

PACT

PACT helps you put your money where your mouth is...literally! This App keeps you on track by allowing you to put money on the line to do it! You can earn anywhere from $.30 to $5 a week. This is a great way to earn some extra money, however, if you don't keep up with your pact, you could end up paying PACT, as they will debit your account for the amount you put on the PACT. You can start with a small amount and increase your bet to motivate yourself. If you play your cards right, you COULD end up paying for your monthly gym membership.

MY FITNESS PAL

My coaches at Rejuv Medical told me that  MY FITNESS PAL is a great way to keep track of my goals. I have this, and basically use it to journal my daily food, water and exercise. It features everything that's featured on the LOSE IT app, which I've also tried, but for some reason it seems to be a little more user friendly to me. It also helps you design a personalized diet profile to set healthy diet and exercise goals.

DIET HERO APP

If you don't like to count calories, this App has a different approach. You tell DIET HERO what foods you like, and what foods you have. The APP will tell you how much to eat, and what to eat. If you only have a few things handy at home, the APP will adjust so you don't have to scramble around to find something to eat. If something doesn't sound good, there is also a swap feature, where the APP will find something else; intelligently swapping a protien for a protien, or a carb for a carb. This App cost $1.99 and is only available on iPhone.
