The Art Crawl Celebrates 10 Years In Downtown St. Cloud [AUDIO]

ST. CLOUD - Downtown St. Cloud has been graced with art for the last ten years. The St. Cloud Art Crawl is celebrating it's 10th Anniversary this year kicking it off this Friday. The first Art Crawl of 2015 will once again be in downtown St. Cloud, from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. There are over thirty vendors for the first Art Crawl, featuring some new artists. Julie Mische is on the planning committee, and she says there are some special activities planned for Friday as well.

The Pickled Loon will be hosting Tore Down and Four Legg Fish.

Celebrations for the 10^th Anniversary will also carry over into the other Art Crawls. Mische says they are still in some of the planning stages, but the planning committee is has some surprises, and different things for people to do at the Art Crawls in the works.

Everyone who is part of the Art Crawls is excited to be celebrating the 10^th year. Mische says when the Art Crawls were started there were about ten vendors who took part. Now ten years later with over thirty vendors, Mische says she can’t believe how far the Art Crawls have come along.

We have people who sponsor us, who have been really loyal to us. We have the venues, you know people want to be part of the art crawl, and of course our patrons. You know, just loyal people, and we see new faces. We're seeing a younger crowd come in and enjoy the crawls. People just keep saying there wasn't anything like this before the crawl, and so we're just really honored and excited that this is like a big part of what people look forward to.

The fun evening of Paint N Party will also be on display during the Art Crawl this Friday. Paint N Party's instructor Charlene Ridlon will be selling some of her paintings from the Paint N' Party events in the hope to raise money for Place of Hopes Anne's Meals. Her work will be on display at Paddy's Game Shop.

This is the first of four Art Crawls again this year. Friday’s crawl will be from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. The next Art Crawl will be on June 12^th. This year’s Sizzling Summer Art Crawl is on August 14^th starting at noon, and running until 9:00 p.m. There is a video below of last year’s Sizzling Summer Art Crawl. The final crawl of 2015 will be held on November 6^th.
