ST. JOSEPH - The Second Annual Bouja For The Barn kicks off at Noon tomorrow(Saturday) at the American Legion in St. Joseph.

Anne Meyer started Bouja For The Barn last year to raise money to renovate her family barn into a community art space.

Bouja is a large soup that takes days to prepare. Meyer says Bouja is a very old traditional soup.

For a fee, participants can buy a bowl made of the clay found naturally on the Meyer farm, and fill it with Bouja soup.

Last year, with the help of the community Meyer was able to replace the barn roof. This year she hopes to raise enough funds to replace windows, update the electrical and build a kiln.

The event runs until 6:30 p.m. tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.

All proceeds go to help the Meyer Farm Project.
