SARTELL -- If a 2013-2014 tentative schedule for the Sartell - St. Stephen School District would be approved, students would not see spring break for a second straight year.

Last year the school board voted to eliminate spring break - despite concerns from some community members and students.

If the schedule were to be approved, students would get a four-day weekend in March and another in April. The school year would also end early, on May 30th compared to early June.

At a working session last (Wednesday) night, the board expressed interest in creating a survey that would gauge the public's feelings on the current school schedule.

There is no set date of when the school board will vote on the tentative schedule.
