MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A former suburban Minneapolis high school cheerleader is facing sentencing for persuading a younger squad member to sell herself for sex, then pocketing the money.

Eighteen-year-old Montia Parker has pleaded guilty to three prostitution-related counts. The defense and prosecution will present testimony at a hearing in Hennepin County Friday on an appropriate sentence for Parker.

Prosecutors say Parker admitted telling a 16-year-old fellow cheerleader at Hopkins High School that the girl could earn money through prostitution. After the girl agreed, Parker admitted she placed an ad for the girl online, then took her to an apartment where the girl was paid for oral sex. The girl gave $60 to Parker, who kept the money.
