Target Field To Host Football In 2017

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — European football has had its moment at Target Field. Now it's time for the American kind.

The Minnesota Twins are set Monday to announce the ballpark will host its first football game in 2017. The teams haven't been identified.

Target Field was reconfigured for soccer in June, when the Minnesota United soccer team hosted Club Leon of Mexico in an international friendly.

The ballpark opened in 2010.
