ST. PAUL (AP) — Groundskeepers who have been laboring to remove snow from Target Field before next week's Minnesota Twins home opener could get stung by spring storms.

The storm that shut down parts of the Dakotas and western Minnesota on Monday is heading east.

Minneapolis could see snow overnight into Tuesday morning. Additional snow is possible Thursday and Friday.

So much snow accumulated over the winter that grounds crews at Target Field have been trying to melt it by hosing down mounds with hot water.

Head groundskeeper Larry DiVito says he needs a couple good days next weekend to let the field dry out, get mowing done and paint the logos.
