Tara Lynn (Decker) Zipp, age 45, Sauk Rapids, MN died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the TLA Group Home, Waite Park, MN after a decade long battle with the effects of brain cancer.

A prayer service will be Monday, July 14, 2014 at 6:00 PM at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until the time of the prayer service, Monday at Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

Tara was born April 16, 1969 in St. Cloud, MN to David P. Decker and Mary Ellen Brownie. She was a 1988 graduate of Apollo High School. Tara moved to Cleveland, OH to work as a legal secretary. After she returned to St. Cloud, Tara was employed as a nursing assistant at St. Benedict’s Senior Community and later by the St. Cloud School District 742. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Tara liked knitting and crocheting, long walks with her dog “Buddy”, traveling, and attending her children’s activities. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Tara will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her sons, Kyle and Trevor Zipp of Rice, MN; father, David P. Decker of Zimmerman, MN; mother, Mary Ellen Anderson of St. Cloud, MN; brother, Troy (Mary) Decker of Sauk Rapids, MN; nephew, Reece Decker and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
