ST. CLOUD – A performing Arts Troupe from Uganda entertained and educated the kids at Talahi elementary this (Thursday) morning.

Twenty-two Ugandan children, ranging in age from 11 to 22, spent the day with the students at Talahi.  They taught them about the instruments they have, and their traditional music and dance from their country.

Here’s a couple of the songs they performed for the Talahi students:

The Bridge to Uganda Cultural Exchange program called the Spirit of Uganda is spending a few days at the College of St. Benedict.  They’re traveling around the country from January through April.

The Talahi students will also have the chance to see the troupe perform at St. Ben’s on Friday at 10:00 a.m.  They’ll also be performing for the public at 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Escher Auditorium.  Tickets are $30 and are available at the St. Ben’s box office.
