Viking running back Adrian Peterson had all contact restrictions eliminated Wednesday and will no longer be protected in practice. Peterson is recovering from a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee and was listed as limited in practice Wednesday. Peterson's status Sunday is still undetermined.

The Twins lost 6-2 in Chicago Wednesday to close a 3-game series against the White Sox. Alex Rios hit a pair of homeruns and drove in all 6 runs for the White Sox. Ryan Doumit and Chris Parmelee each had 2 hits and both Matt Carson and Eduardo Escobar had 1 hit and 1 RBI. P.J. Walters allowed 6 earned runs in 5 innings to take the loss and drop to 2-3. Jake Peavy allowed 1 earned run in 6 innings to get the win.

Chris Parmelee hit a 3-run homerun and 4 RBIs, Ryan Doumit was 3-6 with a homerun and 3 RBIs, and Eduardo Escobar had 2 hits, 2 runs scored and 3 RBIs for the Twins. Escobar made his Twins debut after being chosen as a September call-up. The Twins acquire Escobar in the Liriano trade in July.

Lindsay Whalen chipped in 12 points for Minnesota. The Lynx forced 19 L.A. turnovers and committed just 14 themselves.
