Weather delayed the Veterans Drive closure overnight Wednesday. Veterans Drive will now be closed starting at 7:00 tonight and the road will re-open at approximately 7:00 a.m. tomorrow.

More progress on the West Metro Corridor project as workers will shift traffic on Ridgewood Road to the newly constructed westbound lanes tomorrow afternoon. Eastbound traffic will remain in the eastbound lanes. There will be one lane open in each direction until late Monday when the roadway will be opened to two lanes in each direction.

The eastbound, right-side traffic lanes are closed until further notice from near Westwood School to Saukview Drive. The westbound, right-side lanes will be closed starting Wednesday.

Stearns County's Highway Department dug into its own bank account to keep the West Metro Corridor project going during the government shutdown. Stearns County Assistant Engineer Jodi Teich says they paid less than $3,500 in materials testing and one contract payment of about $685,000.
