The National Weather Service has confirmed storm damage in the Columbus and Forest Lake area was caused by a tornado. Forecasters say the EF-1 twister was on the ground for nearly 9 miles early Wednesday morning.
Forecasters say stormy weather spawned a couple of tornadoes in south-central Minnesota, but there are no reports of injuries or significant damage. The National Weather Service says one tornado was reported about 10:30 p.m.
