The new St. Cloud Walmart is scheduled to open this week. Store Manager Sarah Klein says they have a grand opening planned for 7:30 a.m. Friday, with the doors officially opening for business at 8:00 a.m.

Walmart's plan to bring a store back into the St. Cloud city limits got the green light from the city council. At Monday's meeting they approved a request by Walmart to vacate a roadway and utility easement between the old Sam's Club parking lot and Division Street.
