A trailer break-in has grounded a popular local hot air balloon. Freedom Flight spokesman Luke Cesnik says the thieves broke into their trailers earlier this month while they were parked at McKay's auto dealership in Waite Park.

Waite Park police are still looking for the person, or people, responsible for leaving some explosive devices inside a mobile home. Police Chief Dave Bentrud says they have not made any arrests so far.

The Minneapolis bomb squad has safely detonated the explosive device found at Bel Clare Estates in Waite Park.

Two people are in jail after police say they shoplifted from a store in Waite Park, then led officers on a high-speed chase down Interstate 94. The incident started at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

A SuperAmerica store in Waite Park has been robbed. The incident happened just after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the store at 29 3rd Street Northeast.

Police say 3rd Street North, at 3rd Avenue North, is closed for eastbound traffic. And, 3rd Street North at Waite Avenue North is closed for westbound traffic.

The name of the man involved in the crane tip over on Tuesday has been released.

A car collided with an ambulance in Waite Park last (Wednesday) night. The police department says it happened just before 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Division Street and 10th Avenue.

A St. Cloud State University employee was arrested in a prostitution sting on Wednesday night. Waite Park Police Cheif Dave Bentrud says 53-year-old Kevin Barnes was arrested for allegedly attempting to solicit an underage prostitute.

Today (Monday) will be the last day on the force for Waite Park's four legged officer. During the city council meeting, the council will approve the retirement of Kato the police dog, and hiring of a new police dog.
