A recent act of vandalism against a St. Cloud church has some hoping it will open some eyes. Just after 4:30 a.m. Friday the front door of the Holy Myrrh-Bearers Orthodox Church was smashed. A theme Fr. Nathan says is a common occurrence.
A group of five people, including three hitchhikers, allegedly vandalized the Avon trailhead bathrooms last week. Avon Police Chief Corey Nellis says the vandalism was reported on Friday night and that police made contact with a group of five people.
St. Cloud Police have arrested the primary suspect who allegedly damaged 10 vehicles in town. At 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, a St. Cloud Police Sergeant recognized 21-year-old Noah Farrell of St. Cloud as the suspect from the surveillance video, having recently dealt with him on an unrelated matter.
Vandals have struck a Mankato church for a second time. Someone threw a brick, pieces of concrete block and a rock through two stained-glass windows and two other windows at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church early Friday.
