We have a few more neighbors here in the St. Cloud metro area. The U.S. Census Bureau says the six cities that make up the metro area grew by a combined 706 people in 2013.
Each of the six cities in the St. Cloud metro area saw a modest population increase last year. The new population estimates released by the U.S. Census Bureau say Sartell had the biggest increase with 108 additional residents.
The U.S. Census Bureau has released their latest statistics from the 2011 American Community Survey. The median household income in St. Cloud was $41,400 last year - that's up from $40,000 the year before.
LANDFALL (AP) -- A mobile home park of about 700 residents incorporated as a city is among Minnesota's poorest communities.
More than a quarter of the residents in Landfall live in poverty, which the federal government defines as individual income of about $11,000 or less. The city is east of St. Paul on Tanner's Lake.
The number of people living in poverty in the St. Cloud area has jumped. The Federal Government considers the poverty line to be $22,050 for a family of four.
