Stearns County Girl Escapes Attempted Abduction

A scary moment for a 10-year-old St. Wendel Township girl. The Stearns County Sheriff says she was sweeping her driveway Monday afternoon at about 3:30 p.m. when a man got out of a car and tried to pull her into the vehicle.

There may be a lead in that bank robbery that happened in Clear Lake a couple weeks ago. Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says they've identified a vehicle of interest.

It was a quiet spring morning when an explosion disrupted the small town of Kimball, Minnesota on May 13th, 1976. The explosion came from the Kimball Post Office where assistant postmaster Ivend Holen was sorting the morning’s mail. Though the ambulance was fast to the scene, the 60-year-old father of 10 died on the way to the hospital.
