Canadian Pacific has lowered its estimate of how much crude oil spilled during a derailment in western Minnesota.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway is working Monday to clear a main track near Brainerd where 18 cars in a coal train derailed. The derailment left some of the coal cars on their sides. No injuries have been reported.

Clean-up of several rail cars continues today (Tuesday) in Paynesville. Eight cars of an 85-car train derailed yesterday (Monday) afternoon. Two of the cars ended-up in the North Fork Crow River.

Crews will be cleaning up after 17 empty railroad cars derailed on an elevated section of track in Duluth. Two of the cars plunged from the bridge Thursday morning into a small, fenced wooded area.
