Late Season Thunderstorms Produce Hail, Heavy Rain
Some late season thunderstorms moved across the area early Wednesday morning. Thunderstorm warnings were issued by the National Weather Service from 12:45 a.m. until 2:45 a.m. for area counties, including: Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Todd and Morrison counties.
Strong Storms Knock Down Trees, Power Lines [VIDEO]
A strong thunderstorm rumbled through central Minnesota early Sunday morning knocking down trees and power lines. Stearns County Emergency Management Director Erin Hausauer says the most significant damage to trees was in the Eden Valley area.
Severe Storms Possible Today
Thunderstorms are expected to develop late this (Tuesday) afternoon over central Minnesota, then gradually move east. There is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms, with the primary hazards being large hail and damaging winds, along with a secondary threat of isolated tornadoes.
