You can go for a quick run at the Jingle Bell 5K, check out the annual Zonta Christmas House, the Made in Minnesota Expo is back for another year, Randy Houser will be performing until at Mystic Lake and the classic Nutcracker Ballet will come to the Paramount Theatre. Christmas season is in full swing around the area this weekend as country singer Kathy Mattea performs a holiday show at St. Ben's, Christmas music will fill the air in town as The St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra and Minnesota Center Chorale both have yuletide shows, and classic stage performances of The Nutcracker (The Paramount) and The Sound of Music (The Ordway). Patrick Dewane returns to St. John's University with 'Accidental Hero,' the tale of his grandfather's World War II story. Also this weekend, there is a new exhibit at Gallery St. Germain, and St. Cloud Art Crawl has it's final event for 2014.

The classic tale of "The Nutcracker" takes center stage at the Escher Auditorium tomorrow (Saturday) for a special one day performance with the Minnesota Ballet.
