Tech High School

With less than two weeks until the first day of school, crews are working day and night to put the finishing touches on the new Tech High School.

St. Cloud School Superintendent Willie Jett joined me on WJON today. The new Tech High School will be ready for students the first day of school on September 3. He says they plan a grand opening for the public on September 16.

After almost two years of construction, the new Tech High School is just a few months away from welcoming its first students.

As the door finally closes on operations at the old Tech High School, District 742 now focuses on welcoming students at their new High School.

I talked with St. Cloud School District board chairman Jeff Pollreis today on WJON. He says the new Tech High School is on schedule to open this fall and many of the finishing touches are being placed on the building.

As Spring draws closer, so does some of the loose ends in different areas of the new Tech High School.

It was a bittersweet night Tuesday as the Tech Tigers boy's basketball team took the court for their final home game at the old Tech High School.
