#7 Moorhead 48, Tech 40 (Tech led 20-6 in the first half and 27-20 at halftime. Jacob Peterson had a hand in all 6 Tech touchdowns. He ran for 4 touchdowns, returned a kick for a score and threw a touchdown pass to quarterback Jay Kedrowski. Tech falls to 3-2. Moorhead is 5-0 and has the inside track for the #1 or #2 seed in Section 85A)

Tech 28, Sauk Rapids-Rice 6 (Jacob Peterson ran for 188 yards and 2 touchdowns and Tanner Skaja had a 47-yard touchdown run. Brandon Morrison had a 90-yard punt return touchdown. Tech is 3-1. Sauk Rapids-Rice is 0-4) Sartell-St. Stephen 27, Grand Rapids 8 (Eric McAfee ran for 103 yards on 9 carries and a touchdown for the Sabres. McAfee left the game after the first quarter with hip flexor injury and head coach Scott Hentges says McAfee is expecting to play next week. Sam Neeser and Mathew Worzala each scored rushing touchdowns for the Sabres. Sartell-St. Stephen is 4-0).

The High School football regular season will be half over after this weekend. The week 4 schedule includes St. Cloud Tech playing at Sauk Rapids-Rice at 7pm. The game is a "Tackle Cancer" game with opportunities to contribute to the battle against Cancer. Randy Shaver of KARE 11 and the Minnesota High School football coaches have gotten together to help fight cancer.

Tech 47, Grand Rapids 35 (Tech led by as many as 34 in the 2nd half before Grand Rapids made a comeback. Jake Peterson ran for 278 yards and 4 touchdowns for the Tigers. The Tech football team will play home games this season at St. Cloud State's Husky Stadium. Tech head coach Gregg Martig told Emmett Keenan on St. Cloud Sports Saturday on AM 1390-the Fan that large amounts of mold was detected in both the locker rooms and concession stands at Clarke Field. A decision has been made by the school district to play away from Clarke Field this season.

High School football practice began in the St. Cloud area Monday. Sartell-St. Stephen has a new head coach, Scott Hentges, Justin Skalerud returns as the Apollo head coach, Gregg Martig is back at Tech, Dean Taylor returns at Cathedral, and Bill Magnuson is back at Sauk Rapids-Rice. Mike Rowe is back as Rocori begins defense of the Class 4A title.

Section 85A Quarterfinals Tech 35, Buffalo 28 (Jake Peterson ran for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns and Bryant Amundson ran for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns for Tech. The Tigers are 7-2 and will play at Brainerd at 2pm Saturday)

Tech 30, Apollo 6 (Tech claims a share of the Central Lakes Conference Title with Rocori and Brainerd. Kevin Heysse had 4 catches for 77 yards and 2 touchdowns for Tech. Jacob Peterson ran for 108 yards and a touchdown and on a halfback option pass threw a 23-yard touchdown to quarterback Jesse Lavoi. Tech is 6-2 while Apollo is 0-8)

The high school football regular season wraps up tonight when rivals Apollo (0-7) and Tech (5-2) do battle at Clark Field at 7pm, pregame on WJON at 6:50. Joe Clemence calls the action tonight. Tech with a win would share the Central Lakes Conference title.
