Minnesota Houose Okays Crackdown On Synthetic Marijuana

An effort to criminalize synthetic marijuana sold as herbal incense has easily cleared the Minnesota House with bipartisan support. The bill from Republican Rep. John Kriesel of Cottage Grove passed on a 124-4 vote on Thursday.

Synthetic Drugs Growing In Popularity In Central Minnesota Schools

Officials from 14 schools in central Minnesota will be getting together tomorrow (Tuesday) to talk about the rapidly growing problem of synthetic drug use. Synthetic drugs are often known by their brand names "K2" and "Spice" and they're sold legally as herbal incense.

Duluth Business Joins Synthetic Marijuana Lawsuit

The Last Place on Earth shop in Duluth is suing over the government's plan to crack down on synthetic marijuana. Store owner Jim Carlson says he has joined three similar Twin Cities businesses in a lawsuit against the Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Department of Justice.
