Xcel: St. Cloud Area Power Outages Could Last Into Monday

The buzz of chainsaws can be heard throughout the St. Cloud metro area today as clean-up continues from last night's storms. Videographer Steven Sohlstrom of FlightFlash.com takes us through some of the storm damage.
Thousands are still without power this (Saturday) morning, after last night's storm. Xcel Energy spokeswoman Mary Sandok says they have over 12,000 customers without power stretching from the St. Cloud area down through southwest Minnesota. And East Central Energy has nearly 9,000 customers without power.
The sound of chainsaws will be a common one today (Saturday) as area residents continue to clean-up after last night's storm. Stearns County Emergency Management Director Marv Klug says the Hester Park neighborhood appears to have been hit the worst. There are hundreds of trees down in that area.
