A Cold Spring man was hurt when he lost control of his SUV and struck a power pole this morning. The Stearns County Sheriff's Department says 76-year-old Russell Austreng was traveling on County Road 133 two miles north of St. Joseph when he left the roadway and sheared off a large power pole.

A Sauk Centre man was ticketed for driving after cancellation following a two vehicle crash Tuesday. The Stearns County Sheriff's Department says 51-year-old Daniel Duchene's truck collided with a car driven by 46-year-old Cheryl Athmann of Melrose.

The Stearns County Sheriff's Department got a report about 2:00 a.m. of large hay bales blocking the road on 155th Avenue, south of County Road 17 in Holding Township. Deputies found three large round bales completely blocking the road.
