St. John's University

St. John's University announced the passing of distinguished alumnae Al Eisele. Eisele passed June 29 in Falls Church, Virginia. He was a 1958 graduate of St. John's who left his mark on the University in a variety of ways.

The Minnesota Twins rallied for a win over Oakland, while the Timberwolves recorded a loss. The St. Cloud State University softball team fell in their NSIC Tournament run, and the St. John's University baseball team dropped game one of the weekend series to Hamline.

The Minnesota Wild rallied for a win against St. Louis in overtime, the Timberwolves fell to New Orleans in OT, and the Twins got blown out by Kansas City. Meanwhile, collegiate baseball and softball teams ended up with three sweeps and a split.

St. John's University announced Tuesday a new $13.5 million residential building project.

The Timberwolves earned an upset win against the Utah Jazz, the Wild won their seventh straight game and secured a spot in the playoffs, and the Twins failed to get much offense going in a loss to Pittsburgh on Saturday. Local college baseball and softball teams had a mostly successful day as well. Between St. Cloud State, St. John's, and St. Ben's, three teams earned doubleheader sweeps and one was swept.
