New Division I Hockey Conference Starting In 2013-2014

A new Division I men's college hockey conference is being formed and will start play in the 2013-2014 season. The new conference called the National Collegiate Hockey Conference announced Wednesday that the league will consists of 6 schools: North Dakota, Minnesota-Duluth, Colorado College, Denver, Nebraska-Omaha and Miami-Ohio.

SCSU Wrestling Finishes 2nd, Hockey Season Over

The St. Cloud State wrestling team earned 2nd place in the NCAA Division II meet in Kearney, Nebraska. The tournament finished Saturday. The SCSU men's hockey team lost 4-2 and 3-2 in triple-overtime to Minnesota-Duluth in the first round of the WCHA tournament over the weekend.

SCSU’s Kurtz Set to Retire In 2012

Longtime St. Cloud State Athletic Director Dr. Morris Kurtz has announced he plans to retire his position June 30, 2012. He has been the AD at SCSU for the past 27 years and oversaw the program when they made the move from Division II to Division I in men's and women's hockey.
