St. Cloud State Baseball

The St. Cloud State baseball team completed a sweep of Concordia-St. Paul Sunday. SCSU won game 1 8-4 by scoring 5 runs in the 6th inning to surge ahead. Joey Althoff had a 2-run single for the Huskies in the 6th inning. St. Cloud State won 6-5 in extra innings in game 2. Joey Benke went 3-4 with a run scored in game 2 for SCSU. St. Cloud State had 13 hits in game 2.

St. Cloud State 5, MN-Duluth 3 (Kyle Fischer threw all 7 innings with 6 hits and 3 earned runs allowed to get the win for the Huskies) MN-Duluth 4, St. Cloud State 3 (Sean Borman was 2-4 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI for the Huskies. SCSU is 25-10 overall and 10-6 in the NSIC)

Bemidji State 5, St. Cloud State 4 (Brian Hansen had a 2-run homerun for the Huskies and Joey Benke was 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI) St. Cloud State 12, Bemidji State 5 (Sean Borman went 4-5 with 3 runs scored and 3 RBIs for the Huskies. SCSU is 23-8 overall and 8-4 in the NSIC. St. Cloud State will host Minnesota State-Mankato Saturday).

St. Cloud State 4, Southwest Minnesota State 1 (Phil Imholte went 3-4 with 1 RBI and Scott Leiser threw 7 innings with 7 hits and 1 earned run allowed for the win for SCSU)

The St. Cloud State baseball team will play Southwest Minnesota State in their home opener at Joe Faber Field today at 1:30. The two teams will play a doubleheader. St. Cloud State is 21-6 on the season.

The St. Cloud State baseball team downed Augustana 7-1 in game 1 of a doubleheader at Mall of America Field inside the Metrodome Monday. The 2nd game was tied at 8 when time restraints forced the game to end in a tie. The game will be made up at a later date.

College Baseball: St. Cloud State 6, St. Joseph's College 0 St. Joseph's College 2, St. Cloud State 1 (SCSU is 9-1. Games were played at the Metrodome)

St. Cloud State 15, Mary 2 St. Cloud State 11, Mary 2 (SCSU is ranked #8 in Division II baseball. The Huskies are 4-0. Joey Benke hit 2 homeruns and a triple for SCSU)
