President Barack Obama saluted the veterans who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan during a speech in Minneapolis today (Tuesday). We went to the American Legion Post 621 in St. Augusta today to get reaction to the President's speech.

The St. Augusta American Legion is erecting a monument, honoring Central Minnesota service members. There will be a dedication ceremony for the monument on Saturday, August 20th at 1:00 p.m.

Ten St. Cloud area soldiers will be armed with a new G-P-S unit, when they leave for Iraq on Friday. The St. Augusta American Legion Post 621 donated the G-P-S units, with the help of Lowranz Electronics. Lowranz spokesman Mike Schnettler says the units will be a value tool for the soldiers.
