A large Minnesota solar farm project which has been in the works since 2013 is coming online. The Aurora Solar project consists of 16 sites spread across the state, including two solar fields in Stearns County.
A discussion about bringing a solar farm to Cold Spring was brought before the city council during tonight's (Tuesday) meeting. Public Works Director Paul Hoeschen brought the idea to the council as a way to provide better energy use for the wastewater treatment facility.
