An Albany man is dead after a snowmobile crash in northern Minnesota Saturday night. The Hubbard County Sheriff's Department says 30-year-old Jason Gutzwiller was heading east on the Heartland Trail just outside Nevis at about 8:30 p.m when he hit a tree.
A 50-year-old snowmobiler has died in a crash in Isanti County in central Minnesota. The Isanti County sheriff's department says the man was killed when his machine hit a tree west of the town of Isanti shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday.
Two men were thrown from their snowmobiles after they crashed into each other last night. Thomas Spoden and 48 year old Layne Johnson collided head-on along the west side trail of Highway 238. The crash happened at about 10:00 p.m. last night a mile north of Albany.
A 23-year-old St. Stephen man was hurt while riding his snowmobile. Christopher Wasmund was driving his sled on his property at 1206 6th Avenue Southeast in St. Stephen when he went over a jump and lost control.
