Roads have reopened in southwestern Minnesota but transportation officials are still advising no travel in south-central and southwestern parts of the state because of blizzard conditions.
We ended-up with 2.8 inches of snow officially at the St. Cloud Regional Airport yesterday (Tuesday). That brings us to 3.6 inches of snow for the season so far.
Snowfall records are falling. Yesterday (Thursday) we officially had 9.4 inches of snow in St. Cloud, shattering the old record for the date of 1.5 inches.
The first of two rounds of snow is over. The National Weather Service says we officially received 1 1/2 inches of snow in St. Cloud this (Monday) morning. The measurement was taken at 12:45 p.m. by a trained weather spotter and the St. Cloud prison.
If the forecast is correct, we could be looking at record snowfall totals for the month. According to the National Weather Service, we've had 15.3 inches of snow in St. Cloud so far this month.
