Train Strikes and Kills Man Who Drove Around Stop Arms

A Chaska man is dead after witnesses say he drove around the stop arms at a Sherburne County railroad crossing and was hit by a train. he was dead at the scene.

Paraglider Killed Near Clear Lake

A paraglider was killed near Clear Lake on Saturday. The Sherburne County Sheriff's Department says 54-year-old Michael Rademacher of Brainerd crashed in Clear Lake Township at about 5:00 p.m. after his parachute got caught in a tree, causing him to collide with a parked vehicle.

Teen Drivers Invited to Safe Driving Presentation

A number of organizations are working together to alert new teen drivers of the dangers on the roadway. The Sherburne County Sheriff's Department, New River Ambulance Service and Becker Safe Schools Committee will hold a parent/teen traffic safety presentation tomorrow evening.

Zimmerman Man Arrested For Alleged Stabbing

A 22-year-old Zimmerman man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing another man at a party. David Lenz is accused of stabbing the victim in the arm and in the leg.
