A Stearns County judge has sentenced a St. Cloud woman to 12-and-a-half years in prison for killing her young child last April. 32-year-old Nyachoul Puoch earlier pleaded guilty to one count of second degree murder in exchange for a sentence that was less than the maximum.

An eastern Minnesota man has been indicted in a deadly shooting that prosecutors say was sparked by an argument over Facebook photos. A grand jury in Dakota County indicted 46-year-old Robert Thomas on second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
