Sauk Rapids Lowering Fees on New Home Construction

Sauk Rapids is the latest community to lower their building fees, in an effort to increase new home construction. The city council unanimously approved a plan this (Monday) evening to cut the sewer and water assessment and park fees in half from a total of $6,100 down to $3050.

The Sauk Rapids City Council has voted to deny a request for a Conditional Use Permit for a planned preschool and daycare center. The council voted 3-2 against the request for the proposal at 1007 Industrial Drive, next door to North Crest Gymnastics, because it's in an industrial park.
