A Republican-crafted proposal to direct $7 billion to projects over the next decade is slated for a vote Tuesday. As drafted, it would redirect existing taxes on auto parts, vehicle leases and car rentals to construction, and borrow billions more.
The final approval has been passed in the upcoming Pinecone Road Improvements set to begin this summer. Plans and bids for Phase 1 of the project were approved by the Sartell city council tonight (Monday) by a 4-1 vote.
Benton County has a handful of construction projects scheduled for 2015. The projects include re-surfacing County Roads 51 and 66 east of Foley, County Road 58 east of Sauk Rapids and North Benton Drive from the Bridge of Hope to Highway 10.
